Human Resources Specialist

This position will focus on Human Resources administration and hourly staffing. This will include:

  • Provide assistance and support to team members
  • Maintain HRIS data and provide necessary reporting
  • Perform data entry to process Human Resource, payroll and benefit information
  • Assist with employee benefits administration
  • Maintain employee personnel files in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct hourly staffing functions including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, background screening and on boarding

 

Qualifications include the following:

  • Provide assistance and support to team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field is preferred
  • Associates degree or related professional experience would be considered
  • 1 to 3 years of comparable Human Resources experience is strongly desired
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software – Word and Excel

Laboratory Technician

Utilize strong technical skills and experience in a laboratory setting to support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives by performing required analytical testing, product evaluation and plant and equipment inspections. Work closely with the Quality Services and Operations teams to evaluate food safety and quality risks and influence appropriate decisions. Complete projects that drive change to reduce food safety risk and/or improve product quality.

  • Daily analytical (microbiological, chemical, and physical) testing of ingredients, packaging and finished products
  • Approval of product against product specifications, troubleshooting out of specification product, and providing information used to make sound risk decisions
  • Working closely in partnership with Operations to evaluate food safety and quality risks, influence appropriate decisions and support plant productivity
  • Intermediate knowledge of instrumentation and troubleshooting
  • Involvement in Sanitation, Quality Control and Production SOP’s
  • Performance of environmental monitoring program sampling
  • Chemical solutions makeup and equipment verification
  • Associates degree plus experience; Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Safety, Food Science, or Quality Control preferred
  • 1-2 years Quality Assurance/Control laboratory/aseptic analytical testing experience, or related experience
  • Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Good communication and influence skills
  • Experience and desire to work in a team environment, yet able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills (proficiency with Excel and Word)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional accountability to support the Quality Services function
