Industrial Cook – 1st Shift

Hours:
3:30am – 12:30pm (hours may vary)

Job Overview:
As a Cook at Request Foods of Holland, MI, you will be responsible for making large scale batches of vegetables or sauces safely and efficiently. This job requires attention to detail and includes physical activities such as heavy lifting and shoveling of ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix, cook, and process various raw materials consistent with daily production needs.
  • Weigh all raw goods to specifications.
  • Keep prep cooler and other work areas clean and organized.
  • Monitor and maintains proper rotation of raw goods.
  • Handle and stores leftover raw goods according to procedures.
  • Document work accomplished and hazard analysis critical control point requirements according to procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Strong communication skills; Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in cold environment (Cooler, Freezer)
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s

Industrial Cook – 2nd Shift

Hours:
12:30pm – 10:30pm (hours may vary)

Job Overview:

Job Overview:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating food processing machinery to safely and efficiently produce frozen food entrees. You will also be responsible for supplying the production line with raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting up and tearing down the production line equipment.
  • Operate machines, including troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, basic quality control, and waste control.
  • Responsible for keeping the production line supplied with raw materials at all times.
  • Responsible for the operation of a manual and/or power hand jack.
  • Able to complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist packing department by stacking cases of finished product onto pallets as they come off the packaging line.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

Job Overview:
As a Sanitation Worker at Request Foods of Holland, MI you will be responsible for cleaning production equipment and adjacent areas following approved sanitary methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient and effective cleaning of production equipment and adjacent areas, in addition to other environments, following approved sanitary methods.
  • Responsible for the safe use of appropriate chemical solutions to ensure the cleanest and most highly sanitized equipment.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety precautions are followed in performing your responsibilities.
  • Responsible for following through on projects assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Ability to understand the operation of various pieces of production equipment mechanically and regarding the power source.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to be flexible with the variety of work responsibilities available.

Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift

Hours:
3:00pm – shift end (hours may vary)

Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Mechanic at Request Foods of Holland, MI you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance assignments to assure on-time production start-up and minimize downtime. The successful candidate will have the ability to safely troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic machine systems, preferably with food manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure on time start up of assigned lines.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance of all assigned plant equipment, including service, repair or replacement of gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, etc.
  • Ensure the mechanical and physical integrity of the production equipment.
  • Reduce the production down time due to mechanical failure.
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair: Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic.

Food Production Worker – 2nd Shift

Job Overview:
As a Food Production Worker at Request Foods, you will be responsible for stacking cases of finished product onto pallets to safely and efficiently produce frozen food entrees. You will also be responsible for operating machines and labeling/code dating of finished product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stacking cases of finished product onto pallets as they come off the packaging line.
  • Operate machines, including troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, basic quality control, and waste control.
  • Responsible for taking products off racks and pack into boxes.
  • Responsible for stacking products from track conveyor onto skids.
  • Responsible for properly labeling and code dating of finished product.
  • Responsible for the operation of a manual and/or power hand jack.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Ability to understand the operation of various pieces of production equipment mechanically and regarding the power source.
